January 2012, Shanghai Parasol Renewable Energy Company and Harbin Turbine Company Limited officially reached a strategic cooperation, which included jointly researching the molten salt thermal systems, constructing the pre-production and commercial demonstration, sharing the equipment investment, and developing domestic market.

Harbin Turbine Company Limited，one of the key construction projects during the First Five-Year Plan, is a large-scale state-owned backbone enterprise in China to design and manufacture large sized fossil turbine, nuclear turbine, industrial steam turbine, marine steam turbine and gas turbine. At present, there is 5,600 staff in the Company, including over 1,200 technicians & engineers and nearly 400 persons with senior title.

The powerful serial production capacity for typical 300/600MW units, 1000MW class USC steam turbine, over 1000MW nuclear turbine and heavy duty gas turbine has been formed in the Company now. The annual production capacity of the Company is 30,000MW (equivalent), accounting for about 1/3 of the total annual output of home-made steam turbines for power generation in China. Its products have been sold throughout 29 provinces, municipalities and autonomous regions in China and exported to some countries in Asia, Africa, Europe and South America.
